About our Chef


The British Banker’s Club is proud to announce that our kitchen is now under the creative management of Stanislas LaPierre. Stan received his formal training at the California Culinary Institute, and has worked in a number of successful restaurants in the Bay Area, including The City Club and The Park Restaurant in San Francisco and Rick & Ann’s in Berkeley.

Most recently, Stan ran the kitchen at the popular Los Angeles gastropub The Village Idiot for more than four years. While he was there, Bon Appetit named the restaurant one of its Ten Best Gastropubs in the US.

Stan specializes in desserts and baking, charcuterie, grilled meats, and all kinds of pub fare. He continues evaluating our menu and making decisions about what dishes to keep, and what new innovations to add as he places his distinctive stamp on the BBC’s menu.
